# Privacy Policy for RangeHound Ballistics

RangeHound Ballistics (“the App”, “we”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the App accesses and how it is used.
## 1) Account and Identity
- The App does not require account creation.
- We do not collect your name, phone number, or account login credentials in the App.
## 2) Data Stored on Device
The App stores operational data locally on your device to provide core functionality, including:
- Rifle profiles
- Bullet/ammo selections
- Environmental inputs
- Stage and target data
- Timer settings and unit preferences
## 3) Microphone Permission (Optional Stage Timer Feature)
If you enable Start on Beep in Stage Timer:
- The App requests microphone access to detect a start beep while armed.
- Audio is processed on-device in real time.
- Audio is not recorded or stored by us.
- Audio is not sold or used for advertising.
- If permission is denied, manual timer start remains available.
## 4) Location Permission (Optional Atmospherics)
If you use “current atmospherics”:
- The App may request location permission to retrieve weather/atmospheric data for your current area.
- Location use is optional; manual entry remains available.
## 5) Weather/API Data Requests
When current atmospherics are requested, the App may transmit required request data (such as location coordinates) to configured weather data providers to return weather values.
## 6) Bluetooth Device Data (Optional)
If you connect a supported external weather meter (for example WEATHERmeter/Kestrel), the App may read sensor values such as wind and atmospherics to support ballistic calculations.
## 7) Motion/Orientation Sensors (Optional)
If you use shot-angle features, the App may read motion/orientation sensor data (for example accelerometer/gyroscope/magnetometer) for angle/heading calculations. This processing is for app functionality.
## 8) Purchases and Billing
If you purchase subscriptions or one-time upgrades, transactions are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play Billing. We do not collect or store your full payment card details.
## 9) Data Sharing and Selling
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not share user data for third-party advertising.
- Data may be transmitted to service providers only when necessary to provide requested app features (for example weather lookups, billing platforms).
## 10) Data Retention and Deletion
Because primary app data is stored locally, you can remove data by deleting entries in-app or uninstalling the app. Device/cloud backups (Apple/Google) may retain app data based on your backup settings.
## 11) Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
## 12) Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. Updated versions will be posted at this URL with a revised Effective Date.
